Nakea S. Barksdale started her career in public relations more than 20 years ago as an Editorial Assistant for the University of Illinois-Chicago Medical Center. Nakea is currently the Public Relations & Communications Specialist for the Academy of General Dentistry. She is the founder of Urban Health Suite, an organization committed to developing communications strategies for healthcare organizations throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Regions.
